On the Uniqueness of Artistic Creativity, Perception, and the Ever-Changing Dialogue Between Creator and Viewer
“Three Rooms” is a conceptual fashion story that explores the uniqueness of artistic creativity. The project delves into how each artist creates a unique world around themselves, based on a distinctive set of qualities through which they express their personal vision. Each piece of art becomes an extension of the creator’s creativity, and when viewers enter the artist’s realm, they interpret this world in their own way — echoing Ernst Gombrich’s idea from “The Story of Art” that there is no single, fixed meaning in art, only ever-changing perspectives shaped by the viewer.
The goal of this project is to capture the close, dynamic relationship between the artist, their work, and the audience. Through a series of visually striking, atmospheric shots, we show the interaction between the three “rooms” or layers: the artist, the work, and the viewer’s own life experience. Our style, lighting, and scenography all reflect the evolving nature of this dialogue, inviting the viewer to explore the narrative from their unique point of view.
This story was created in collaboration with three remarkable artists, each of whom made a significant contribution to one of the “rooms” and inspired the entire production team: Pavel Grishin, whose works reveal new facets of the characters from Shakespeare’s “The Tempest.” Dasha Yemelyanova, who describes her art as “the cinema of the subconscious,” presenting intangible, dreamlike images. Alina Kugush, who transports viewers to a world of bodily transformations, symbiosis with animals, and mutations.
The project is inspired by the art of artists Pavel Grishin, Dasha Yemelyanova, Alina Kugush
